Celebrate the Chinese New Year on January 28 in Solvang with the Solvang Conference and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and Solvang Chamber of Commerce with three opportunities for you and your business to welcome Chinese tourists into your shops.

  1. From Jan. 21 – Feb. 6:
    Display City-approved temporary “Happy New Year” signs welcoming Chinese visitors to your business! Signs will be hand-delivered and available through the Solvang Chamber office.

    Call 688-0701 or stop by Chamber offices in Frederik’s Court for your “sign” of friendly hospitality (Permitted signs must be taken down by Feb. 6th. No other signage allowed.)

  2. Learn Chinese!
    Three Friday’s from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on January 27Feb. 3Feb. 10), join industry colleagues at Allan Hancock College Solvang Center (320 Alisal Rd., #306) for an introductory to Chinese culture and language. $48 fee.

  3. Menu’s Translated in Chinese for FREE:  
    Submit up to five menu items on your restaurant letterhead for complimentary translation to Chinese through the Solvang CVB. Chinese menus can be displayed for the same two week permitted timeframe (Jan. 21-Feb. 6) in your window, or, in permanent display cases permitted by the City of Solvang all year long. Translations can include photos of food items. Limited offer through Feb. 1, 2017.
