Ballard Elementary invites the public to their school’s Jamboree on Sunday April 2.

Staff Report

Come one, come all to the Biannual Ballard School Jamboree on Sunday, April 2.  The event begins at noon and goes until the cows come home. This old-fashioned celebration is open to all members of the community and admission is free. There will be a firehouse B-B-Q, desserts from Solvang Bakery, a pie-baking contest, old-fashioned games and live music by The Agin Family Band.

In addition, a museum dedicated to the history of Ballard, the valley’s oldest township, will be located inside the Little Red School House. If you’ve always wanted to see inside California’s oldest continuously operating schoolhouse, now is your chance.  Artifacts and photos will be on display throughout the day. One exciting part of the event is the county’s largest game of musical chairs, a genuine crowd pleaser!

Wear your best overalls and bonnets in support of Ballard School. Be sure to see ballardpta.org for more information. Y’all come!
