Staff Report

A pavement preservation project on 17 miles of State Route 154 in various locations from west of Edison Street to the Cold Spring Canyon Bridge will continue with a 24/7 lane reduction at the Cold Spring Canyon Bridge for a two-week period beginning at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7.

Motorists traveling eastbound will encounter a 10-foot travel lane and a 45 mph speed limit for one week beginning this evening.  Motorists traveling westbound will encounter a similar configuration for a one week period beginning Tuesday, March 14.

This lane reduction and reduced speed limit will allow Caltrans to safely perform work on the bridge barriers.

The contractor for the $11 million project on State Route 154 is CalPortland of Santa Maria, CA.  It is scheduled to be complete in August of 2017.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
