A full closure of State Route 246 from Fifth Street to Pine Street in Solvang is scheduled from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21. Motorists headed eastbound will detour from State Route 246 at Fifth Street to Oak Street Avenue to Alisal Road. Motorists headed westbound will detour from State Route 246 at Pine Street to Laurel Avenue to Fifth Street. Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 10 minutes, according to Caltrans.

Motorists in Solvang will also encounter one-way reversing traffic control from Buellflat Rock Road to Pine Street starting from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday, June 6 through Tuesday, July 14 for various repairs to the highway.

This project also includes a resurfacing of State Route 1 (H Street) from Ocean Avenue to Purisima Road in Lompoc.

Motorists in Lompoc will encounter one-way reversing traffic control on State Route 1 (H Street) weekdays for a two week period beginning Monday June 27 from 9 am until 4 pm.

The contractor for this $673,000 project is Pavement Coatings Company of Woodland, CA. This project is expected to be complete by August 2016.
