Star Report

The Los Olivos School Foundation will be hosting LO+CAL Field Feast from 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, at the historic Montanaro Farm  to support enrichment programs for the Los Olivos School.  This one-of-a-kind evening will feature a nine-course meal with fresh farm-to-table cuisine from local chefs Budi Kazali of the Ballard Inn Restaurant, Jeff Olsson of Industrial Eats and Matt Nichols of Brothers Restaurant at the Red Barn and Sides Hardware and Shoes.  Each chef will prepare their signature cocktail followed by 3-courses each.  A different protein will be highlighted by each chef for a diverse offering of dishes.  Live music will be provided by Los Olivos School alumnus Dylan Ortega who just returned from Nashville where he recorded his first record

“LO+CAL Field Feast will be a very special event for a great cause.” exclaims President of the Los Olivos School Foundation, Jaime Dietenhofer.  “It is such a unique opportunity to enjoy some of the best chefs in the Santa Ynez Valley along with local wine and beer while supporting the children who attend Los Olivos School.  We will also have terrific items and packages to bid on during our live and silent auctions.”

The Los Olivos School Foundation has donated over $300,000 to the Los Olivos School to support enrichment programs including technology, science, playground equipment, and music and art programs. This event allows the foundation to raise the funds needed for the school each year.  Each $100 ticket to the LO+CAL Field Feast will directly go to the foundation.

The Board of Directors are still looking for volunteers for the event as well as donors.  Those interested in donating to the Los Olivos School Foundation’s silent or live auctions can email foundation.losolivos@gmail.com for more information.
